Traditional Japanese woodworking

A few weeks ago in our construction class with Franca Trubiano, Lindsay Falck shared with us some examples of traditional Japanese woodworking. None of the pieces require additional connections, they’re designed to fit together structurally with pegs, dovetail joints and many other methods.

If you’re interested, check out my friend Josh’s video of him assembling a bench he designed using a similar technique.
